State of the Castle Address

Just wanted to give you guys a few updates as to what's going on around here.

I'm pretty busy with the store since the "online" holiday shopping season starts in September and gets busier every day. I'm on a "add products" spree and want to get as much up as fast as possible. Not to mention waiting for a fix for my Google Base Feed for Serendipity.

So as I'm sure you can understand I don't have a lot of time for other things....so...here's what I'm planning on doing the next few months....starting with....

The Arcade....

You may have noticed that we keep "lingering" around the 800 games mark but we never seem to quite hit that sweet spot. I'm doing that on purpose....

I'm trying to make sure that all if not most of the games in the arcade work properly before we can celebrate hitting 800 games. I don't want to say...YAY 800 games...and then have to remove 20 of them because they don't score properly. What I've been doing lately is clearing out the "No Score" Games section and redownloading them to see if I can get working ones. It's not fair to the people that are trying to climb the leaderboards when someone "pads" their wins with "undefined" or 0 (not that they are doing it on purpose). I've been keeping a record of games that I've redownloaded that didn't work before, you can view that record in the forums.

To keep you all at ease waiting for new games.....I will let you know that hitting the 800 mark is going to be beyond easy....actually...hitting the 1,000 mark won't be that difficult either....at this moment I have 115 games waiting in a folder to be installed....not to mention the fact that I have access to 40 new games each day from a library of over 4,000. Simply put....you'll have plenty to play in the coming months.


Next up....

The Gold System....

I'm still waiting for the "Stable" release of an "upgrade version" of the new gold system. It's coming along smoothly right now but I'm waiting. I "could" attempt to upgrade with the "Beta" version....but seeing as I'd be lynched in here if something went wrong I'm still waiting...as patiently as possible. They are still working out some of the kinks, but I don't see it taking "too much" longer.

With the new gold system you'll see some more new features, and some features will change. You'll see a lottery, blackjack, roulette, rock paper scissors, and recipes....wait...what? Recipes?

Quiztopia.....

I gotta say...I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of people playing Quiztopia lately. I put a lot of work into adding new games and such to it to make sure everything is fair and it's been pretty dead. I actually expected "CodeBreaker" to be one of the most played games....and I think only one person is giving it a try once in a while. It's meant to be difficult...because if it was easy the jackpot would never really go up.

Chatbox....

Well...the only thing I can say about that is....IT'S NOT FOR NEWS POSTINGS!!! That's what we have the forums for.

Forums....

They've been picking up a little bit more....granted the NWF section is the most active section of the forums but at least a few of you have found that there are other sections...please feel free to use them....unlike the chatbox your posts in the forums will remain there.


That's about it....now...I've had a migraine headache all day so I need to stop staring at this screen.
